Why does a X-month membership sometimes display in weeks, and why does the per-payment amount change with the billing cycle?
Calculation principle
-
A membership has one total price (pre-tax).
-
The per-payment amount is derived from that total based on the number of payments in the selected billing cycle (monthly, every 2 weeks, weekly, etc.).
-
When you switch cycles, FLiiP redistributes the same total across a different payment count, so the per-payment amount updates automatically.
Consistency safeguard
-
If you enter a per-payment value that doesn’t match the total and payment count, FLiiP recalculates to preserve consistency (same total, correct number of payments).
Weeks display
-
Some views use a standardized conversion (e.g., “4 weeks per month”) to show duration.
-
This display does not shorten the contract: start/end dates and the payment count determine the actual coverage.
What to check if something looks off
-
The total price (pre-tax).
-
The selected billing cycle and its payment count.
-
That your changes are saved successfully.
TL;DR
Single total → per-payment is derived.
Changing cycles changes payment count, not the total.
Weeks are a display convention; real coverage comes from dates + cycle.
