How do general ledger accounts work?

General ledger accounts allow you to categorize your income in ways that make your accounting easier, but also to have better visibility on where your income comes from.

You can find your general ledger accounts in the general settings in the 'Payments' tab.
Note: you can change the account number when setting up your memberships, services, products that you will sell in your shop, etc.

In the reports, you can find the general ledger account associated with each item in the sales reports under the section: Analytics/Reporting/Sales.
