With the new Google and Yahoo compliance requirement, you will need to add those steps and put in action these best practices.
To ensure you meet the new email admissibility criteria from Google and Yahoo, here are actions you can take and tools we have put in place for you
What we ensure on our side:
1. Each email is automatically checked each time it is sent but also each time a contact is added to your platform.
2. All emails are sent via our domain: mail.rise-fliip.com which meets all deliverability criteria.
Each email is automatically paired with an unsubscribe link to increase deliverability and trust in our sending server.
3. We have implemented automations in each account related to unsubscribes, bouncing emails or complaints. Just activate them on your side.
Context: in order for an email to be delivered and recognized as trustworthy by Google and Yahoo, all of the following data must match:
1) The sending domain → “From”
2) The → “sent by”
3) The → “signed by”
By having those 3 fields the same, you will increase your deliverability and avoir to fall into spam or get bounced emails.
What you can do to ensure better deliverability:
1) We have provided you with custom values in your account. Go in Settings, custom Values and use the search bar to find them. Edit these values with your center name as follows by searching for them:
a. “From Name” value: Your Gym
b. Value “From Email”: yourgym@mail.rise-fliip.com
This will ensure that people will see the name of your center when receiving the email and respond to yourgym@mail.rise-fliip.com. These emails will be received in your RISE inbox.
2) Apply these values in all your workflows and email campaigns automatically
a) In each workflow where emails are sent, open, click on settings and you will see the From Name and From Email fields.
b) Click on the label and search for Custom Values From Name as well as From Email in their respective fields.
This will ensure that all emails sent in the workflow or campaign will come from the address yourgymname@mail.rise-fliip.com and the name of the sending will be Your Gym.
In automation, for each email, leave the sending fields empty, otherwise the values entered will replace the others.
3) If you would like to receive your responses in another email box, here is how to do it:
a. Settings -> Email Services -> reply and forwarding settings: enter your reply address.
This will display your email in the “reply to” field and the reply will go to your other inbox:
Here are other best practices to increase the deliverability of your emails:
1) Avoid words related to SPAM: https://respona.com/blog/spam-words/#toc-item-0-what-are-spam-words
2) Avoid putting your entire email title in CAPS
3) If you start sending emails to your contact bank, start with a drip campaign. Just choose to send in drip mode. Take your number of contacts, divide it by 10 and then send to that number every hour until you have reached all of your contacts. Example: 10,000 contacts / 10 = 1000. So I schedule to send my email to 1000 contacts every hour for 10 hours.
4) Use the app.mailgenius.com tool to test your email and see its deliverability. This will allow you to see if all the links are working or if there are suspicious factors that would send your emails to SPAM.
